Collectively, more than 450,000 Iowans living with disabilities can make a significant impact on the public policies and practices that affect their daily lives.
The DD Council works to remove barriers that prevent those with disabilities from fully obtaining the information, resources, and access they need to become actively engaged in civic and political processes. The goal is to develop a disability voting bloc that is recognized statewide as having influence over public policy decisions.
