March is National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM). The purpose of this designation is to raise awareness about the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all facets of community life. Another goal is to help others understand the barriers that people with disabilities still sometimes face in connecting to the communities in which they live.

The theme of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month 2023 is Beyond the Conversation.
After conversations have taken place, what comes next? What are communities doing to create change?
The time for talking is over, and now it is time for us to act to create the change we want.
